Is The Barbie Pink 3-Story Dream Townhouse Worth Buying?

The fact that little girls never seem to get bored with Barbie, and that her Dream Townhouse offers so many features, gives this toy a really good start.

Barbie Pink 3-Story Dream Townhouse Review
It really does look great, with an attractive Barbie-pink colour scheme and detailed design features. It's really large too, which is bound to impress but does mean you'll need to make sure you have the space to store it.

With 5 different rooms spread across 3 floors, and an elevator linking them all together, there's plenty to keep girls busy and boost their imaginations. The little details really do count: guests can eat in the dining room before Barbie takes them to the rooftop whirlpool tub for a relaxing chat overlooking the town.

When Barbie wants to put her feet up, she can head to the lounge and watch her pop up flat screen TV, or if she feels like having something to eat she can head to the kitchen (which includes cooking utensils). At the end of a tiring day she can then head to her four-poster bed and get a good night’s sleep.

The sound effects and lights really help to take things up a notch. Tiki candles light up the whirlpool tub, and a chandelier graces the dining room.

When Barbie takes a shower she sings, guests can ring the doorbell, the fireplace crackles, and Barbie will never burn a meal with her kitchen timer!

Although your child is sure to love all these features, the Barbie Pink 3-Story Dream Townhouse isn’t perfect. Firstly, it requires some assembly by an adult, but the instructions fail to explain the requirements in much useful detail.

Build-quality isn’t all that good either: although the plastic is flexible, rough play could easily damage the townhouse, and Mattel appear to have cut some corners in the quality of their design.

Overall, the Barbie Pink 3-Story Dream Townhouse is sure to please any young Barbie fan. There is so much variety and such a large Barbie world here that any child is sure to have hours of fun playing, and many parents have noted how much their children love this toy.

However, from an adult’s perspective, the price seems a little high when considered in terms of build quality.
